Mixed media is the process where I have achieved the most success. Last spring I took a first place in the Park Cities Presbyterian Church Art Festival for my concept piece The Prodigal Son. It was rendered with a process I learned at UTD from Greg Metz I call “copier” art. I studied drawing, mixed media and silk screen with Greg. He taught me the process of using concepts in art to break out from decorative art into more meaningful contemporary art. I like to apply this process to what I call “faith” art.
